Samsung Omnia M is announced, first to reach Europe

Recently we had a short look at the Samsung Focus 2 exclusively for AT&T in US. We and many others found this smartphone very attractive and its $49 price will make this phone sell. Samsung doesn’t stops here with new Windows Phone offerings and it just announced Omnia M. It looks much like its predecessor but judging by first images the build quality of Omnia looks better.

The Samsung Omnia M has 5-megapixel back facing camera with LED flash and VGA camera in front for video chats and, of course, for duckfaces photos that now you can promote on Facebook. Other features include 4GB built-in storage, 7.2Mbps 3G HSPA radio, Wi-Fi, GPS and reasonable 1,500mAh battery. All above mentioned features are packed in 10.5 mm thick body that weighs only 119 grams.

Like I already mentioned the Omnia M is Windows Phone 7.5 OS powered smartphone and it also has some additional preinstalled software by Samsung. Most notable are ChatON service for improved chatting, Family Network, which is cloud-based service to excnage with information between your family members. Samsung Omnia M also has AllShare for wireless media sharing.

The bad things about Samsung’s latest  Windows Phone is 4GB built-in memory with no microSD card slot, of course you can have cloud storage but it’s not the same thing.

Samsung Omnia M Price and Availability

The Samsun Omnia M first to land in Europe sometime at the end of May and soon after more regions to follow.  Price is yet to be disclosed but most likely it won’t break the bank like Samsung Galaxy S3 does.
